For beach photography, My Khe and Non Nuoc work best: a wide coastline, soft sand, room to move and a clear horizon. An Bang is a quieter option near Hoi An if you want fewer people in the frame.
Old Hoi An is the most recognizable location of the cluster. It features yellow facades, narrow streets, bridges, the Thu Bon River and lanterns that look especially good in the evening. Hoi An is about 30 km from Da Nang, the journey takes about 40 minutes, so it is convenient to combine the city with the beach in one shooting day.

At this time, it is easier to plan the beaches, the city and the trip to Ba Na Hills without the risk that the route will have to be urgently changed.

When is the best time to shoot: light, season and practical nuances
Early morning and an hour before sunset are best for the beach and city in Da Nang. In the evening, the sun sets at approximately 17:45, so the start of sunset photography is usually planned in advance, especially if you want to have time to change the location or stop by Hoi An. During the day, the light is harsher, and it is less suitable for open spaces than for short lifestyle shots.
If you are coming to Vietnam for the first time, it is important to remember that Russian citizens have visa-free entry for 45 days. This is convenient for those who combine a vacation and a photo shoot: you can safely choose several dates, reserve for the weather and not be tied to one day.
