What a wedding day in Da Nang looks like by time

The basic scenario in Da Nang usually begins in the morning with the bride and groom getting ready: makeup, hair styling, photographer, videographer, image details and short shots in the room, villa or beach club. If the ceremony is planned outdoors, we place it in the first half of the day or on a window before sunset to avoid the hottest time. During the dry season from February to August, this is especially important: even in March–May, which are considered the best months for a wedding, the sun is already active during the day.

Next comes the ceremony, congratulations to the guests, a buffet or cocktail, and then a separate block for photographing the couple. Da Nang and surrounding areas have strong visual locations within a 10-40 minute radius: My Khe Beach, Non Nuoc, Son Tra Peninsula, Marble Mountains, Old Hoi An about 30 km and 40 minutes drive, and Ba Na Hills and Golden Bridge. If the day is planned correctly, you have time to change 2-3 points without feeling like a race.

In a villa or garden you can work more flexibly, but it is still important to avoid 11:30–14:30, especially if you have many guests, children or older relatives. For a couple who wants a photo with the sea in the background, we usually leave a separate window until sunset: in Da Nang it occurs around 17:45, and this hour provides the best light without harsh shadows.

If the program includes a trip to Hoi An, we plan the road with a reserve. The historical center, the Thu Bon River, lanterns, old houses and embankments provide very strong shots, but in the evening there is a flow of tourists, and after sunset the streets quickly fill up. Therefore, it is better to start photographing in Hoi An before the evening peak, and transfer dinner to Da Nang or to a site near the city. For a more spectacular, but logistically complex program, you can add Ba Na Hills, but this is a whole separate block for half a day.

For a destination wedding in Central Vietnam, we often combine several locations in one day. For example: getting ready in Da Nang, a ceremony on My Khe beach, a short couple shoot near the Marble Mountains and an evening dinner in the city. Or a more intense option: morning shots on the Son Tra Peninsula, a ceremony on the beach, then Hoi An with lanterns and dinner in Da Nang. This allows you to show the region in one wedding day, but without unnecessary overload for you and your guests.

If you are planning a holiday during a season with higher hotel occupancy, we reserve windows with contractors and transport in advance. In Da Nang, prices for weddings and related services are often 30–40% lower than in Bali, but good venues and strong photographers still need to be booked in advance, especially for March–May.
