The main point of the route is the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills. This is not just a recognizable location, but a platform where you can collect shots of architecture, clouds and views of the mountain range. We plan our rise time in advance, because in the morning there are fewer people and the light is softer, and after 9:00 the flow of tourists increases sharply.

The second strong location is the Marble Mountains near Da Nang. Shots with stairs, stone, Buddhist details and panoramas of the city and coast work well here. If you need a more “cinematic” terrain, add the Hai Van Pass: there are long views, serpentine roads and a feeling of open space.

How we avoid crowds and take shots without random people

It is not by chance that crowds appear on the Golden Bridge: it is due to the schedule of the funicular and the fact that most guests arrive at approximately the same time. Therefore, for the photo shoot we take the first cable car ascent. This is the most efficient way to get clean shots while the bridge is not yet filled with tourists and the light has not become harsh.

From experience, it is not only the early departure that decides, but also the sequence of points. We shoot the most popular angles on the bridge first, then move on to less busy areas in the Ba Na Hills or take the route into mountain areas where we can work more quietly. If minimal crowds are important, we additionally select a weekday and check the weather forecast for cloud cover and visibility.

When is the best time to take photos in Da Nang?

For a mountain photo shoot in Da Nang, the most comfortable season is the dry season from February to August. There is less risk of rain at this time, and the period March–May often offers the most pleasant conditions: good visibility, rich greenery and soft morning light. It's hotter in the summer, but early departures still give high-quality results, especially at altitude.

If the atmosphere of fog and clouds is important to you, this can also be captured, but this scenario depends on the specific weather. We don’t promise the perfect picture every day, but we do evaluate the forecast, cloud cover and humidity in advance to choose locations where conditions will work for the shot, and not against it.
