What was included in the budget and what made it reasonable?
The final cost of the project was controlled due to the chamber format and one main location. We did not spend the budget on hours-long travel between dozens of points, but relied on the precise choice of location and a dense, but not overloaded script. For a wedding for 20 guests, this is especially important: every extra move in Central Vietnam eats up the team’s time, light, and energy.
Compared to popular destinations, a wedding in Da Nang and Hoi An is usually much easier on the budget: prices for services here are often 30-40% lower than in Bali, with a comparable level of service and beautiful locations. For a couple, this means the opportunity to invest in decor, photography and a good dinner, rather than inflating the cost of basic logistics.
- —one main site instead of several expensive moves
- —moderate decor with an emphasis on atmosphere rather than scale
- —local team and contractors without extra mark-ups for “wedding tourism”
- —flexible budget structure for the number of guests
Project result
On the wedding day, everything turned out as planned: without haste, with comfort for the guests and with a very strong visual part. The ceremony was warm and personal, the dinner was lively and conversational, and the walk around Hoi An provided exactly the shots that couples choose Central Vietnam for: lanterns, a river, an old town and soft evening light.
For us, this project is a good example of how the intimate wedding format works in Hoi An. When the venue is chosen accurately, the timing takes into account the local light and climate, and the decor does not conflict with the location, even a small-scale wedding looks cohesive and expensive.
Why Hoi An is suitable for a wedding for 20 guests
Hoi An is convenient for small weddings because it has a rare combination: historical environment, water, restaurant infrastructure and a short road from Da Nang. The journey from Dragon Bridge to Old Hoi An is less than an hour, which means that guests have time to get there without fatigue and spend a relaxing evening. For those living in Da Nang, this is one of the most practical options on the coast.
Plus, Hoi An has a strong visual character that does not require complex scenographic solutions. Here you don’t need to build a “scenery” from scratch: just choose the right point near Thu Bon, add light and think over the route for the photo. That is why chamber weddings here turn out to be very collected and atmospheric.
Customer review
“We were very worried that a wedding abroad would be difficult to organize, but the Da Danang team laid everything out step by step. They immediately offered us a convenient scenario, explained why it was better to do the ceremony in the late afternoon, and helped us not to get carried away with unnecessary details. In the end, the day passed calmly, and the photos from Hoi An exceeded expectations - especially the shots by the river and in the old town. Thank you for your precision, attention and very calm support on your wedding day.”
